Now that people actually read this blog on occasion (not that I mind talking to myself), I’ve decided to start featuring some of the great reviews my novel, That Which Should Not Be, has garnered. Starting with this one from the terrific Lovecraft eZine. I’m particularly proud of this one, as the Lovecraft eZine has quickly become one of the most respected sites on the web for all things Cthulhu. Enjoy!

Here is a video of my favorite rendition of my favorite Christmas carol, “We Three Kings.” This comes from the old Claymation Christmas. Don’t know if they still show that or not . . .

Interesting Blog Post from an Author on His First One Star Review
The idea of creating a bad reviews section of this website is growing on me. I only have one 1 Star review so far, and he is a Vegan, so I didn’t take it very seriously. I mean, how can you trust someone’s opinion if they don’t eat bacon?

Another Zone One Review
As you probably recall, I was rather harsh on Colson Whitehead’s Zone One in a review I did for this site. Here is the alternative view from someone who loved it.

Lots of Five Star Amazon Reviews Lately
Hey guys. In the last few days, people have posted a number of five star reviews of That Which Should Not Be on Amazon (and one two star review from someone who seems to have missed the point of the book, but I digress). Want to say thank you to any of you who were responsible for those. Now let’s keep the momentum going! If you’ve read the book and loved it, please feel free to post four and five star reviews on Amazon (and Goodreads, if you are so inclined). Not asking anybody to lie, just want you to spread the good news as far and wide as possible. Now, if you didn’t like the book, you should probably keep THAT information to yourself . . . . 😉

Q&A: Favorite Short Story in That Which Should Not Be?
Amy: Your book contains several smaller stories that all add up to make on heck of a thriller at the end…but when you were writing these stores, did one of them stand out to you more than the others? What character did you find yourself relating to the most?
Answer: Hello Amy! There were two of the stories that I had been wanting to write about for a while, the first two. The one that I liked the most was the second story, Daniel’s trip to Eastern Europe. I loved writing that one, every second of it. Part of it was the different locations–Venice, Budapest, the Carpathian mountains. But I also liked the mystery that surrounded it, never knowing who was good and who was evil. It wrote itself. The last two I had to come up with on the spot, as it were.
I think the character I related to the most was Henry Armitage, Carter Weston’s sidekick. I’ve always been the consummate believer, and that is what Henry does. Carter is stubborn; it takes him a while to come around. I am more of the leap before you look kind.
